Subj:  Transport members of families of officer's upon change of station; request authorization for
Ref:  (a) Article 7-2-12 (3) U.S. COAST GUARD Regulations.

1.  In accordance with reference (a) authority is requested to transport the below members of families of officers upon change of station of VANCE to Honolulu, T.H. They can be adequately accommodated in wardroom staterooms and their presence will not interfere with or retard the proper movements of the vessel or its efficient employment on duties of the service.

2.  Authority is requested to transport Commander, G, T, Applegate's dependents, wife, Mrs. Verena B, Applegate and daughters, Suzanne G, and Cassandra J. Applegate on ship from Baltimore, Md. to Honolulu, T.H. During San Diego shakedown they will reside in Public Quarters in San Diego.

3.  If paragraph two (2) is not authorized, authority is requested to transport them from San Francisco to Honolulu, T.H. along with the following dependents of Officers:

Dependents of: LT G.W. Cooper
Wife: Mrs. Marianne W. Cooper
Daughters: Georgia Y. Cooper, Ellen E. Cooper
Son: William E. Cooper

Dependents of: LT. R. G. Von Elm
Wife: Evelyn Von Elm
Daughter: Nancy Von Elm

Dependents of: R. D. Hodges
Wife: Katherine Hodges
Daughter: Heide Ann Hodges
